                         Part 1   Part 2   Part 3   Part 4   Part 5   Part 6   Part 7
(Please see below for series description and synopsis of each individual show)

"And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life
also in the midst of the garden, and
the tree of knowledge of good and evil." - Genesis 2:9
“And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.” - Genesis 3:22

In addition to all the other trees, The LORD God planted the tree of the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL in the Garden of
Eden, He also forbade man to eat from it. The serpent tempted the woman with the fruit of this tree and told her that
man
could become as gods
by eating the fruit of this tree. The woman found the fruit to be desirable to make one wise, and the
LORD God said that man had become as
'one of us' after the woman and the man ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil. It goes without saying that God does nothing without reason; so there must have been a perfect reason for
God to have made the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and to have made it to grow in the Garden. In this series the
subject of the importance of the knowledge of good and evil, as well as what it really means to be 'as gods', or to be as God is
studied in detail. There are many confusing, conflicting and contradictory teachings in regards to this subject, all of these are
examined in great detail to separate truth from error, the wheat from chaff.

  • YSBAGs Part 1: A critical study of Genesis 3; a careful parsing of Genesis 3 reveals what the serpent did and did not
promise the woman if she ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Was everything the serpent told the
woman a lie or was it a mixture of some truth and some lies? What does it mean to know good and evil, to have the
experience of good and evil, was it necessary for man to experience these things?

  • YSBAGs Part 2: The Seed Principle: The Biblical Principle of growth from a seed, the body or the spirit of any created
being does not spring up instantaneously; the new creature in Christ must grow over time as a tree grows from a seed.

  • YSBAGs Part 3: Creation and Formation: Genesis 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because
that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made (formed). Creation and Formation are different
processes, Creation is a process of the Mind, a mental process, a process of thought; Formation is a process of the
Hands, a process of construction from previously formulated plans; understanding the difference is vital to correctly
understanding the first two chapters of Genesis that are the foundation for understanding the whole of the Bible.

  • YSBAGs Part 4: The Purpose of creation; what is the purpose of God’s creation of the human being? Why, for
instance, did He not make us a perfect creature without temptations, trials, and sufferings?

  • YSBAGs Part 5: The Plan of Creation; The Biblical Principle of reproduction by 'Kind', or of the same species is
    studied in detail to understand that God's plan is to bring forth His own 'Kind' or 'Species'. Man (Adam) is not Godkind;
Jesus Christ as the Only begotten and First begotten is the fulfillment of the plan of God for which He started the Creation
process which will continue into the eternal future but without evil, pain and death in the age that will begin with the return
    of Jesus Christ.

  • YSBAGs Part 6: A study of 'Consciousness' and 'Sentience'; although we take for granted that we are 'Conscious',
'Intelligent', 'Sentient' creatures, the subject of 'Sentience' is neither taught nor understood by most Christians.
Without the experience of pain, it is not possible to be a sentient being. God has suffered all the suffering that can be
suffered to make for Himself a family that are 'conscious, intelligent, sentient beings even as He is.

  • YSBAGs Part 7: Christ as the 'Express Image of God; though it is commonly taught that Adam was created in the
'Image' of God, this teaching is not Biblical. The reason for such misinterpretations is that the Biblical meaning of 'Image'
is not understood. The general understanding is that 'Image' means 'body', that man looks like God in his corporeal
appearance but since God does not have a body this understanding is obviously incorrect. The Biblical meaning of the
word 'Image' is studied in detail to prove that Christ was the first person to bear God's Image not Adam.

Randy Maugans, host of The Threshing Floor Radio goes beyond the superficial sugar coated teachings of
mainstream Christianity to bring listeners valuable insights into the deep things of God by means of a careful study of
His Word. He does not shy away from controversial topics that most 'preachers' would not touch with a ten foot pole.
